10. The U.S. Constitution guarantees no taxation without representation.

9. We prefer that our houses not burn down before 2012, when the firehouse will be built.

8. Little Susie will have to choose between Cupcake, Snowball and Daisy. Only two cats and two dogs per househould, and $10 tax on each per year.

7. No drainage will be provided, but we will still have to pay for God's rain.

6. We don't have any roaming dogs. Really, is this the best Rocky Mount could come up with?

5. The city has so much water, it has to buy it from Wilson. Hope Wilson keeps sharing during droughts.

4. We get to pay 8 percent interest on taxes and fees we can't afford anyway.

3. This feels like what Hitler did to Europe.

2. Myrtle Beach trips on the taxpayers' dime.
